About the event

We are working collaboratively with the DfE, Turner and Townsend and Baskerville School to develop the SEND adjacency to the school and improve the circulation and security requirements for each year group. Order of works as follows: ground preparation for temporary sports hall, relocation of existing play equipment and temporary reception, early works demolition of voyager building, installation of temporary sports hall, works to the new build commence following demolition of Voyager. Its a demo and new build but keeping parts of the school.

Activities

Expect to see a range of engaging activities that bring construction to life.

Live demonstrations of machinery, learn how different trades work together, and observe safe working practices in action. Site tours will include: explanations of building materials, sustainability features, and how the project supports the local community.

Throughout the tour, staff are on hand to answer questions, and provide a detailed explanation highlight career paths in the industry.

Visits limited to educational institutions only.

Minimum age: 11 years old
11+ due to PPE sizing options, we are unable to offer primary schools site visits on this occasion

Accessibility:
At present, the site does not provide adequate accessibility, as the elevated cabins have no provision for safe, step-free access
