About the event
1 Broadgate and 2 Finsbury Avenue are the final projects of British Land’s 10 year redevelopment plan for the Broadgate campus. Their vision for Broadgate is to create a world class, seven-day, mixed use destination for London.
Sir Robert McAlpine are main contractors for the Broadgate Framework.
1 Broadgate
A vibrant mix of retail, restaurant and leisure facilities.
- Three basement levels
- Covered retail space at lower and upper ground levels
- Office space over twelve levels
- New pedestrian routes through the building and campus
- Improved accessibility
Current phase of work: Fit Out / External Works
Completion: Summer 2025
2 Finsbury Avenue
British Land’s largest project to date.
- New office and retail space
- Three basement levels
- Podium level – 13 storeys including commercial office floors and 2x wintergardens
- West Tower – 23 storeys incorporating commercial office floors and roof plant floors
- East Tower – 38 storeys incorporating commercial office floors and roof plant floors
Current phase of work: Structure – steelwork / concrete / top down construction
Completion: 2027
Activities
Visitors can expect to have a presentation on each of the projects as well as a site tour. This will open the doors to two projects in very different stages of work. 1 Broadgate in it’s final fit out stage ready for practical completion and 2 Finsbury Avenue, in it’s main structural period.
