About the event

The Broomhill Junior School Rebuild Project is a £10m redevelopment located in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, designed to replace the original 1966 school building. Through the Department for Education’s school rebuilding programme, the project aims to provide modern, safe, and versatile learning spaces for the school’s 272 pupils aged seven to eleven.

Once the new two-storey building is complete, the existing structure will be demolished to create additional open areas.

The purpose of the redevelopment is to deliver a contemporary, future-proof school equipped with expanded play spaces, outdoor teaching zones, and improved specialist facilities. A key feature of the design is a dedicated ground-floor Special Educational Needs (SEN) corridor, supporting an anticipated increase in SEN pupils from 58 to 70. The new building will provide a more inclusive, accessible, and inspiring environment for both learners and staff.

This site uses CSCS Smart Check – the only platform to verify all 2.1 million CSCS-logoed cards.
