About the event

Butterfield Park and Ride scheme in Luton aims to reduce town centre congestion by intercepting traffic from the A505 corridor, supporting the airport, football matches, and general town access. Thse scheme comprises 320 parking bays, including 17 disabled and 19 EV bays, supported by 19 high-capacity 22kV EV chargers and a new 1MVA substation.

This site uses CSCS Smart Check – the only platform to verify all 2.3 million CSCS-logoed cards.

Activities

The visit will include an engaging presentation from the site team, covering both the progress of the project and insights into the wide range of careers available within the construction industry. This will give attendees a clearer understanding of the roles involved, the pathways into them, and the skills required to succeed in the sector.

Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to view the live construction work from a dedicated viewing gallery. This provides a safe but immersive way to observe the build in action, see key stages of development, and gain a real sense of how the project is coming together on site.
