About the event

Repair and refurbishment scheme to the Grade II listed Caedmon Hall building at Leeds Beckett University. This is to enable the relocation of the teaching and working accommodation for the School of Education from Carnegie Hall into Caedmon Hall.

Caedmon Hall was originally built at female student accommodation at the beginning of the 20th Century. It was last upgraded in 2004 but prior the works starting the building was vacant.

Works including repairs to the existing roof, timber sash window repairs, secondary glazing, and internal refurbishment including mechanical and electrical services throughout.

There is a requirement to address energy usage, improve comfort and ensure an inclusive environment.

The work will be roughly 70% complete with final completion taking place in the summer.
