About the event
Based in Battersea, London, this project focuses on the development of the existing buildings for Emanuel School to provide a new Science and Dining facility.
The works include strip out and demolition of existing buildings, followed by the design and build of a new science and dining facility over levels 1-4. The new building will provide 15 laboratories and 9 new classrooms, with a 948m dining facility. This will also include front of house, back of house and all associated external and infrastructure works.
This project is scheduled for completion in February 2027.
Activities
This will be an on-site visit which will involve:
- A company overview
- A project overview
- Short talks from various team members explaining their roles (e.g. Contracts Manager, Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Design Manager, etc.)
- A supervised site tour
During the visit, we will discuss careers in construction and how best to access these career pathways.

Educational Visits:Visits limited to educational institutions only.
Minimum age: 15 years old
Given the nature of the construction site and hazards, we have limited this event to those at secondary school age and up. This also focuses on those who are considering their careers in the near future.
