This event is designed as an interactive learning workshop introducing students to the preparation and installation of resin flooring. The workshop is delivered in a classroom or training space and will involve a small group of students to allow for discussion, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
The event will take place at The Preparation Group. The purpose of the workshop is to help students understand how resin flooring works, why preparation is critical for durability and performance, and how safety procedures are followed on construction sites. Through demonstrations, quizzes, and group activities, students gain a practical understanding of the materials, processes, and career opportunities involved in resin flooring and the wider construction sector.
We will focus on demonstrating the key stages involved in installing resin flooring, including surface preparation, priming, mixing the resin components, and laying the floor. As part of the workshop, small demonstration surfaces or boards are used to show the preparation process (cleaning, sanding, and crack repair) before applying resin. These demonstration elements are completed during the session, meaning the practical portion of the project is effectively carried out and completed within the workshop itself.
There will be full attendee participation including questions and a quiz.
