This new build school is located in between the proposed ‘Civic Gateway’ and an area of community open green space. The site makes the most of the local public transport links and the school will be constructed to the ultra-low energy Passivhaus standard.
The Primary School will provide accommodation for up to 630 pupils (21 classes), and will also include a 128 place nursery which will be delivered in Phase 1.
A Health Centre accommodating a new GP Practice and community services delivered by the Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership will be delivered in Phase 1. This will provide healthcare facilities for up to 10,000 patients from the surrounding communities.
The building will welcome community use with halls, activity studio and a sports pitch.
