About the event
Meadow high is a new build extension of an existing special education needs school for the London Borough of Hillingdon
The project commenced in August 2023 with completion scheduled for December 2024.
The scheme involves the installation of six temporary classrooms to allow the demolition of existing 30 year old temporary units to enable space for the new building to be constructed.
The new building comprises traditional pad foundations, steel frame with composite hollow rib floor construction. The cladding is SFS internally with traditional brickwork with glazed brickwork to some areas.
The building will have low energy technology including solar panels on the roof
Activities
During the visit visitors will be able to see a completed frame with floor slabs being constructed
