Join us for a visit to the Mearns Castle High School project, a significant new build extension and refurbishment scheme located in Newton Mearns. This live construction site offers a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the delivery of a complex education project within an operational school environment.
The project commenced on site in October 2025 and is scheduled for completion in Q4 2026. The works involve both the extension of existing facilities and refurbishment works, enhancing the school’s learning environment to meet future needs. At the time of the visit, construction activity will focus on the installation of the steel frame and the building envelope, providing a clear view of the structural and external elements of the project as they take shape.
The visit will begin with a short presentation from the project team, outlining the scope of works, construction methods, programme milestones, and key challenges. This will be followed by a guided site tour, allowing visitors to see the works in progress and gain a first-hand understanding of how the project is being delivered safely and efficiently.
