About the event
The North and East Melton Mowbray Distributor Road, (NEMMDR), for Leicestershire County Council, (the client).
The aim of the scheme is to remove through traffic currently passing through Melton Mowbray, reducing congestion in the town centre. The road is a 7.1 km single carriageway running to the north and east of the town of Melton Mowbray, linking the A606 with the A607. The road crosses watercourses, the River Eye flood plain, (a SSSI), and the Leicester to Peterborough railway line.
