About the event

The project is at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Cancer Centre.

Currently we are carrying out advanced works in preparation for the deconstruction of the building later in the year.  This also includes highway works where we are relocating utilities and preparing of roads for the deliveries to the project.

The project will take 4 years to complete, which includes the deconstruction of the current building and construction of a new 8 story 2 basement facility, which will also include a hospital school and outside play area for the children using the facilities.

The focus of the project is the wellbeing of all the children using the hospital.

Activities

Visitors will be able to see the works from a balcony only.

The visit will also include a presentation on the project, the opportunity to find out more about construction careers with Sisk and hear from staff about their own personal journey into their current role.

The Children’s Cancer Centre is now mostly unoccupied with the hospital staff having moved to other areas of the hospital in order for us to progress with the construction.
