The Pond Meadow Project involves the construction of a purpose-built, single-story Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) facility at Pond Meadow Academy in Guildford. This new unit will enable the school to accommodate an additional 50 secondary-age ASD students within a modern, state-of-the-art environment designed to support inclusive education.
The scope of works also includes comprehensive landscaping improvements across the existing school grounds, including enhanced outdoor spaces aimed at promoting wellbeing for both students and staff. Furthermore, a dedicated turning area will be constructed to alleviate traffic congestion, improving accessibility for the school and the surrounding community.
This project reflects a long-term commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for generations to come.
Visitors to our Open Doors construction event will get a unique behind-the-scenes look at a live construction site and the exciting careers within the industry. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with a safety briefing before being guided around the site by experienced professionals. They’ll see real-time construction work in progress, learn about the different trades involved, and discover how projects are managed from start to finish.
Interactive stations will allow visitors to try hands-on activities. There will also be opportunities to speak with apprentices, site managers, and engineers about their career journeys and daily responsibilities.
Information stands will provide guidance on training routes, apprenticeships, and qualifications. Whether you’re a student, job seeker, or simply curious about how buildings come to life, this event offers an inspiring and informative experience for all ages.
