About the event
The Preston & South Ribble Flood Risk Management Scheme is a multi-phase project that will protect over 5000 homes upon completion. We are repairing and replacing several kilometres of flood wall alongside the creation of natural flood barriers along the River Ribble at Preston and Penwortham before moving on to Walton-le-Dale in 2026.
Activities
We will begin your visit with a presentation from members of our site team responsible for carrying out a variety of roles. They will be outlining the scheme as a whole, including what has been completed so far, what is ahead, and what issues we have encountered and overcome. We will then take you out to site so that you can see our work for yourself and the specialist equipment required to carry it out, with plenty of opportunities to ask our site team anything you’d like to know.
