About the event
The construction of two new three-story STEM block for RUTC college. The project will provide new workshops, science labs and classroom space for the college. The build is to be a clad building with curtain walling to mirror the colleges main building. The roof space will accommodate a plant deck, PV panels as well as being a sedum roof. The STEM Building is located in the Borough of Richmond, in Twickenham right next to the Harlequins Stoop Stadium. Upon the visit, the building will be watertight with internal works commencing. Drylining will be ongoing, M&E 1st fix, Cladding install, roofing works and external works will be progressing.
Activities
The site will have designated zones of interest, a learning zone for students where M&E aspects can be explored as well as the drylining package. There will be areas externally to look at the external works, looking at drainage and hard landscaping as well as looking at roofing element like sedum blankets.
Within the site offices, there will be a careers zone showcasing careers in Construction, we will also be highlighting Swindon attractions.
