| Combe Valley Hospital or the Re-providing Inpatient Services in East Sussex project (RIS:ES) is a newbuild 54-bed hospital for adults and older people with mental health conditions in Bexhill on Sea in East Sussex. To replace the outdated inpatient services currently provided in the Department of Psychiatry at Eastbourne District General Hospital. It will replace shared wards with individual bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms providing a modern therapeutic environment for patients and create capacity for future needs. The NHS are developing a centre for mental health services to respond as effectively as possible to the changing needs of local people and achieve outstanding outcomes for patients. This centre also aims to attract and keep the best staff and offer excellent teaching and research opportunities for doctors, nurses and other clinicians.In March 2025 the project will be around 75% complete with finishing works underway inside and outside the buildings. |
