About the event
We are the principal contractor for The Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Cancer Centre on Great Ormond Street London.
The project began in December 2023 with the Advance Works. These works involved separating all existing utilities from the Frontage Building with the rest of the hospital to ensure that the rest of the hospital continued to fully function throughout.
The project itself is due to complete in October 2028.
In February 2025 we completed the Advance Works and began work on the Main Works.
To date we have deconstructed the existing Frontage Building, and breaking out the concrete slab, along with piling in preparation for starting the main build in summer 2026.
The previous Frontage Building was 1 basement and 6 floors; the new Children’s Cancer Centre will be 2 basements and 8 floors. The new building will offer a new school, a cancer day care service, cancer inpatient wards, critical care, imaging and theatre facilities, special feeds unit, a new school and a roof terrace which will be accessible to all the patients.
This site uses CSCS Smart Check – the only platform to verify all 2.1 million CSCS-logoed cards.

At the event you will be given a presentation on the project, have the opportunity to see the project from a viewing point and depending on the date a learning session.

Minimum age: 12 years old
These sessions will include activities aimed at 12 years + on the areas stated.
