About the event
Work on University of Staffordshire’s new Student Village, at its main campus in Stoke-on-Trent, is now well underway.
The Student Village is being built on the opposite side of the River Trent to the current main campus, next to the nature reserve and close to the existing Clarice Cliff Court Halls of Residence and Woodlands Day Nursery and Forest School.
The scheme includes the refurbishment of Clarice Cliff Court, which currently houses 300 students, and the construction of more than 700 modern student rooms (in a mixture of cluster blocks and townhouses). The multi-million pound campus transformation also involved the demolition of outdated student accommodation on Leek Road, which has now become accessible parkland.
A contemporary ‘Hub’ facility is also being built as part of the development and will support the wider student experience on campus through an events and well-being space, individual and group study areas, multi-activity spaces, and a rooftop terrace with an outdoor seating area.
Activities
Members of Willmott Dixon’s site team will welcome you in our modular cabins and provide a brief site induction and a project overview presentation.
You will then be provided with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), if required, and treated to a guided tour of the extensive site, where you will witness live construction works, offering first-hand insight into how the project is being delivered as it enters its final phase ahead of completion in Autumn 2026.
