About the event
Translink has selected MRP as its Private Sector Partner for Belfast’s transformational Weavers Cross Development.
MRP will deliver the Weavers Cross development with the potential for 1.5 million sqft of mixed-use office, life sciences, residential, hotels and retail / leisure space with an estimated GDV value of £500M.
Weavers Cross will reconnect Belfast city locally, nationally and internationally.
The project is divided into 3 core zones:
Saltwater Square – Potential for 260,000 sqft of prime Grade A office space adjacent to the Belfast Grand Central Station.
Worx Innovation Campus – 635,000 sqft technology, innovation and life sciences situated between Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University, just minutes from both the Royal Victoria and Belfast City Hospitals.
Flax Yards – Comprising 6 plots totalling approximately 650,000 sqft living component comprising 400 residential units and affordable housing.
Activities
Site visit to the Weavers Cross Regeneration project, including attending the meanwhile space HALT and PLATFORM.
We will supply hard hats and hi-vis for the attendees, lunch and drinks, if there are any allergies please let us know prior to the event.
We will begin our event with welcoming the attendees in PLATFORM which is situated within the Meanwhile Use space.
MRP will take the attendees through information on what the Weavers Cross project is and talking through videos of the development.
Design and Build Contractors McAleer and Rushe will explain their role within the development.
Followed by Todd Architects and Caldwell Consulting explaining their roles within the project, whilst growing through the plans.
Land owners Translink will be there to assist with facilitating the visit and answering any questions.
Opportunity for questions before we break for lunch. During lunch there will be interactive games relating to construction.
To conclude our event we will take all attendees around the Weavers Cross development, explaining each of the plots.

Accessibility:The site is fully accessible for wheelchairs. Shopmobility is also located in the Great Northern Mall at Weavers Cross if you need to hire a mobility scooter or wheelchair. They are open Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm.
