The Appledore Maritime Innovation Centre is intended to support innovation in fields including clean propulsion, maritime cyber security, aquaculture, autonomous (unmanned) vessels and environmental intelligence. The Centre will provide workshops and office spaces with direct access to the Taw-Torridge Estuary via a 100m quay wall and slipway improvement, enabling businesses to move fluidly between the building and the water.
The project is currently at a stage where the steel frame is complete and we are prepping areas to commence the 1sts floor composite slab installation and the roof decking. External works including drainage are ongoing. Upcoming works include the installation of the roof, external cladding and commencement of internal works.
