This is an IHP Project (joint venture between VINCI Building and Sir Robert McAlpine)
The Project consists of:
“Design and Construction of an Elective Care Centre at the Eastbourne District General Hospital. The contract is between East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust & Integrated Health Partnerships. The project agreement commences at Project Stage 3 and is part of the P23 framework for the D&B of NHS Capital Projects.
The project comprises of a dedicated High Volume Low Complexity (HVLC) day surgery unit comprising four operating theatres, dedicated admission, recovery and discharge space and associated support facilities at ground floor level. Level 1 comprises of a shell and core only at this stage, with plant rooms on level 2.”
At current the buildings Foundations have been completed – with Ground floor slab and superstructure works well underway.
Visitors will be welcomed to the project with an initial introduction and briefing about the project before being toured around the work areas so they can visually understand the project, and its final usage.
Minimum age: 16 years old
No under 16 due to site visit
Accessibility:We hold visitor PPE, but only have limited sizes of boots – please bring your own if possible. If you don’t have a pair of boots, please let us know boot size prior to visit
