Hallsville Quarter is located in Canning Town which is situated near some of East London’s key leisure, retail, commercial and travel destinations including Canary Wharf, The O2, Stratford, The City and London City Airport and access to the new London Crossrail network will be provided by the nearby Custom House Crossrail Station.
This site forms part of the overall Canning Town and Custom House regeneration masterplan. The whole masterplan, as set out by the London Borough of Newham, provides, over 10,000 new homes, creates thousands of new jobs, and two new town centres. This £3.7 billion project will massively transform this area of London.
Over 5 Phases, the Town Centre scheme will deliver over 1,148 mixed tenure housing units, leisure space, retail space and community facilities. It will also provide new pedestrian links, over 1,000 cycle spaces and several secure parking spaces.
The development site is located opposite the Canning Town Station, south of the A13 fly‐over and directly East of Silverton Way with a long frontage on Silverton Way. To the East and South of the site is Rathbone Street, a low‐rise residential street with small front gardens.
Phase 4 works consist of one large block of student accommodation divided into three sections (A/B/C) containing 375-bedrooms, communal areas, lounge, games room, cycle stores, study lounge, parcel room, laundry room and fitness/Gym studio. There is also plant rooms (sprinkler tank room /HV & LV sub-station & distribution), commercial units and extensive hard and soft landscaping at ground floor level.
This site uses CSCS Smart Check – the only platform to verify all 2.1 million CSCS-logoed cards.
We will have a project overview via the site team with Q & A, then a site tour in full PPE to see the project up close and Q & A.
