About the event
The £220 million refurbishment project at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil includes works on various departments including Pathology, Outpatients, Endoscopy, Maxillofacial, Oncology, Theatres, Radiology and Critical Care. Alongside these we will be constructing a new large over the roof plant rooms to support these departments and upgrading critical infrastructure and car parks.
The aim of the project is to improve patient care and the working environment for staff by creating a more modern and efficient healthcare setting. We are currently coming to the end of section 3 out of 6 within phase 2. To date, around 50% of the project is complete
Activities
Prior to going on site, visitors will be presented with an introduction of Tilbury Douglas, an overview of the Prince Charles Hospital project, a site safety talk, and the opportunity to discuss career opportunities available. Following this, the group will be able to participate in a site tour guided by one of our senior members of staff.
We are welcoming visitors over three dates.
