About the event

The new St Helens Transport Interchange will include 11 stands and 7 layover bays. There will be 2

entrance and exit points for buses, which will be provided at opposite ends of the facility to ensure

access can be maintained in the event of a road closure on the highway network. Buses must be

able to use each stand/layover bay, and this must be acceptable to all local bus operators, which

has been approved by Merseytravel.

The St Helens Regeneration project is a significant renovation of the town centre, encompassing multiple projects and taking place over several work streams. Work streams 3 & 4 focus on providing a temporary bus station, and a new Multi Modal Interchange to be constructed on the site of the existing bus station. Workstreams 3 & 4 will involve the demolition of the existing bus station and adjacent properties to the North & South located on Bickerstaffe Street located and delivery of a Multi Modal Interchange.

This site uses CSCS Smart Check – the only platform to verify all 2.3 million CSCS-logoed cards.
