About the event
Apprentices will be completing a group project applying insulation and cladding to a full rig. Tour of workshop and facilities and meet the apprentices and the team. The opportunity for visitors to join project groups and shadow. Where possible we will allow exposure to application of insulation materials in a short workshop session.
Activities
Students will have a tour of the training facility and receive a presentation from a member of the TICA team explaining in more detail who to TICA and what the Thermal Insulation Industry is. Students will also meet with apprentices who work in construction, experiencing first-hand the wide range of career opportunities and many different routes to joining the industry.
Students will complete a practical activity learning how to cut and apply thermal insulation material and apply it to a rig.
