About the event

BAM has been appointed to deliver a range of infrastructure works for the £4bn Victoria North regeneration programme in Manchester.

Manchester City Council, in a joint venture with Far East Consortium, successfully obtained £51.6m in funding from the UK Government’s Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF) last year to pay for the works. Launched in July 2017, the HIF backs infrastructure schemes that can aid the creation of new homes.

Activities

Earthworks project for remediation of brownfield land as part of the Housing Infrastructure Fund.  The visit will include a presentation about BAM, the status of the project, a site visit and a Q&A session.

Please note that children need to be a minimum of 13 years old and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please ensure you arrive promptly and are wearing suitable clothing including, sturdy footwear (no open toe shoes), trousers, no shorts, sleeveless tops or loose clothing and ensuring it is appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Please advise BAM staff of any medical conditions before accessing site. Ground floor access into site cabins area available. Access to site would need to be discussed on an individual needs basis. Approx. 30min – 1hour of walking/standing Uneven ground conditions. Please note that children need to be a minimum of 13 years old and all children must be accompanied by an adult. All persons will be expected to remain with the BAM guide throughout the tour.
